I dislike that someone(s) can become famous for their sexuality, a feeling only perpetuated by the slightest hint if jealousy…

The beautiful weather in Paris has made me a lot happier but it has also made me a lot less productive, like right now taking selfies instead of doing homework but it is far to nice out to let the stress get to me :)
Procrastination selfies!

Makes me smile
This.
One thing that I always struggle with is the “I already knew.” I think it is just my daddy issues coming to play, but I really don’t like this response to things let alone coming out. Someone is taking a giant personal step in asking you to accept them and to me, while I objectively understand that the sentiment is supposed to be “I knew and accepted you long before, it’s ok,” subjectively it holds a sentiment closer to “I already knew, why didn’t you?” But like I said, that subjectivity is largely imparted my paternal upbringing.

when you asked me on a date
and you paid for the meal
then when you star gazed with me in the middle of manhattan.
Like when you encouraged me into an amazing first kiss
or whenever you kissed me
and then when you became my boyfriend.
especially when you confessed your love to me.
like when you would talk with me for hours
or when you wrote or said sweet nothings about me.
When you kissed me goodbye.
And then when you caressed my knee starting the butterflies once again.
*the you’s do not all represent the same person…

This is my last minute, homemade attempt to convey to the world that though this duct tape may be removable, tomorrow could start the inevitable silencing of millions of voices, please vote wisely.
As much as I agree with the second image, I just want to say that I hate that we still live in a culture that we need a day for encouraging people to be themselves, as opposed to never having to have been in the closet in the first place.
Nevertheless, to all the people who do feel empowered to be themselves today, Happy National Coming out Day!
